The Journal of the Midwest Modern Language Association is a peer-reviewed journal that is published twice a year, in the spring and fall, as a service to Midwest Modern Language Association members, who are encouraged to submit essays and book reviews. In a time of ever-narrowing professional specialization, the JMMLA remains a place where scholars can speak with one another across the boundaries of period, methodology, and discipline.
