Pollution at work Acid laced in lake of dew Produced by great heads Towering baobab trees Flouting home and yonder storms PAW music ceaseless: drip, drip, drip! 35 Acid-laden dew Upon the shrubs Herbs Waters and soils Even as storms oft sweep ’cross to dispel And baobabs bow in feigned abeyance But soon again, drip, drip, drip! Upon fresh shrubs and tender herbs Soils and waters stressed with load Give in to acidification The land faces unknown desiccation Seeds queue for yonder lands to colonise Fleeing from stubborn home pollution March, march, march to greener lands Cry of drying shrubs and herbs Obvious growth in craft for seed dispersal Drip! Drip! Drip! Drip! March! March! March! Music takes on new crescendo Afro-seeds in space like swallows high In westward winds, waving, draining the land dry Code of Law and Order In truth thou art the seed that portends permanent growth in every clan.
