Yue Chim Richard Wong is Professor of Economics and Philip Wong Kennedy Wong Professor in Political Economy at the University of Hong Kong, where he was former Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Provost. He is the founding director of the Hong Kong Centre for Economic Research and a senior fellow at the National Center for Economic Research, Tsinghua University. He was a visiting fellow at the National Opinion Research Center, University of Chicago and the Hoover Institution on War, Revolution, and Peace, Stanford University. His previous public service in Hong Kong includes membership on the Central Policy Unit (part-time), Chief Executive’s Commission on Innovation and Technology, Commission on Strategic Development, Economic Advisory Committee, Exchange Fund Advisory Committee, Hospital Authority, Housing Authority, Industry and Technology Development Council, Land and Building Advisory Committee, Pacific Economic Cooperation Council (Hong Kong Committee), and University Grants Committee.
