Appendix XI Wartime Degrees and Wartime Studies The information contained in this Appendix is derived largely from a letter written from Chungking on 31 December, 1942, by Professor Gordon King to the General Medical Council (of the United Kingdom) and from a memorandum dated 30 April, 1949, by Professor King concerning the registration of the Faculty's 'wartime graduates'. A. STUDENTS AWARDED 'WARTIME DEGREES' The University Senate decided, at a meeting on 31 December, 1941, to confer degrees in medicine on the following students whose examinations were interrupted by the Japanese invasion of Hong Kong: Hilda Chan Chan Ping Kwok Chow Cham Lau Lau PoHei Lee Ching Iu Leong Lean Sang Ling Sing Hang Hian Pitt E.N.
