ABSTRACT This is thefirst comprehensive catalogue, with a pri­ mary systematic and distributional bibliography, of the living marine Bivalvia of China. One thousand, one hundred and seventy-two species are arranged in systematic order reflecting, as presently understood, the phylogenetic relationships of the supraspecific taxa, together with approximately 3500 binomina which fall into synonymy.
