92 Appendix 1 Eudora Welty’s Artwork As a young girl and into her twenties and thirties, Eudora liked to illustrate . She submitted pictures to her high school yearbook and college humor magazine and annual, as well as St. Nicholas magazine and the Memphis Commercial Appeal. She also liked to doodle for fun, and even included artwork in letters to her friends. Eudora’s excellence in photography is an established fact; however, what is not as well known about her is that she was a very good painter.
