This book is set in Janson Text. Janson was designed not by the Dutch-born, Leipzig-based typefounder Anton Janson (1620–87) whose name it bears, but by Miklos Kis (1650–1702), a Hungarian type designer working in Amsterdam. The typeface was cut some time around 1690.
