Faculty of Philosophy and Letters, UBA Rodolfo Walsh lecture hall In 1997 a plaque was dedicated to Rodolfo Walsh in lecture hall 250 of the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters at the University of Buenos Aires. Walsh was a writer, journalist, translator, and collections consultant . As an activist in the Montonero* revolutionary movement, he founded the Clandestine News Agency (ANCLA, Agencia de Noticias Clandestina) in 1976. He worked in a variety of genres, including detective fiction, investigative journalism, and testimonial. His best-known works include Operación Masacre (Operation massacre) and Quién Mató a Rosendo (Who killed Rosendo?) (see p. 96). Perla Waserman lecture hall A plaque was dedicated on May 12, 2000, to Perla Waserman, a member of the Madres de Plaza de Mayo (Mothers of the Plaza de Mayo) who was completing her studies in history at the time of her death. She had a long history of antifascist political activism and joined the Madres after her daughter Susana was kidnapped. The sign bearing the name of the lecture hall was removed in 2007 , leading to an investigation. PatriciaTosi plaque Patricia Tosi was a history student and member of the Student Union of the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters . She also worked at the National Grain Board (Junta Nacional de Granos). She was kidnapped on June 17 , 1975. A group of family members, fellow political activists, and work and study companions joined to pay tribute to her with a plaque that reads, “Our greatest tribute is to follow the example of her struggle. ” Mural for students and alumni In 1995 the Student Union led an initiative to dedicate a plaque bearing the names of ninety-nine former students who had been disappeared, though it was taken down shortly after the dedication. Gabriela Juárez, Hilda Leikis, Hebe Mascia Silvana Parirle, Mabel Pasut, Alicia Raboy, Irma Rago, Noemí Ramos, and Rosalba Vensentini and to the teachers Nélida Ardito and Blanca E. de Tarnopolsky.
