Acknowledgments The research team acknowledges with appreciation the support of the AVI CHAI Foundation at every step of our work. Arthur Fried and Mem Bernstein have been engaged with this project from its inception, offering wise counsel and asking tough questions, because they recognized the project’s potential for uncovering rich data on emerging trends in the American Jewish community. Yossi Prager, AVI CHAI’s executive director for North American operations, and Deena Fuchs, the foundation’s communications director , have served as valuable sounding boards and insightful advisors, giving generously of their time and advice.
