Star Light Called in for sleep. Casually girls flipping in the air over my head. One with her cracked ribs falls into the snow. One hugs me like goodnight. It’s too bad you don’t know who understood you. Did anyone in their lifetime – see them bare. Did anyone in their lifetime swish around them at night. In all the dreams I stood, pretty-pleasing, among the punishing children. The splendid ducks, their goose. I was responsible for feeding and of course I never did feed, wee-wee.
