Appendix Possible Seasonal Hymn Tunes for the Trinity Prayer The following is a list of the hymn tunes that I have used at different times in order to sing the Trinity Prayer boldly. I apologize in advance for the parochial character of this list. These are melodies that happen to be familiar to me. This means that, by definition, they are only a small slice of available options, and by no means necessarily the best slice. Consider them, then, to be a point of departure rather than any kind of canon. The idea is to repeat each of the three petitions of the Trinity Prayer four times as a single stanza of the hymn tune. The first stanza would therefore be Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me, repeated four times. The second stanza would be Praise Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, again repeated four times.1 Finally, the third stanza would be Come Holy Spirit, come and reign, also repeated four times.
