Acknowledgments First and foremost, I would like to thank the former Legato members for participating in this study and devoting their time for the interviews. Since then, my interest in LGBT history and my enthusiasm about Legato’s status as the first nationwide collegiate lesbian and gay association in Turkey have fueled my research and writing about its online and offline activism.
