About the Author Felipe Hinojosa is an assistant professor of history at Texas A&M University .HereceivedhisPhDinhistoryfromtheUniversityofHoustonand has published articles on race, the Chicano movement in Texas, Latino/a religion,andtherelationshipbetweenethnicstudiesandreligiousstudies. His teaching and research interests include Latina/o-Chicana/o studies, American religion, social movements, gender, and comparative race and ethnicity.
