A Note about Citations Persuasion and Healing underwent two substantial revisions after initial publication in 1961. Different contributors to the current volume cite different editions in their essays. In addition, Jerome Frank included his daughter, Julia (an editor of this volume), as coauthor on the 1991 edition. While some of the ideas in that edition are indeed hers, most of the text still reflects Jerome Frank’s own synthesis of the data he collected and mulled over for fifty years. When authors in this text cite an idea that both Franks take credit for, they are referred to together, but when a particular idea was Jerome Frank’s alone, he is cited singularly , even if the associated bibliographic reference is to the third, 1991, edition of Persuasion and Healing. ...
