307 Authors Ziona Austrian is director of the Center for Economic Development and a college fellow at the Maxine Goodman Levin College of Urban Affairs at Cleveland State University. Her focus is on urban and regional economics, industrial clusters, the high-tech economy, entrepreneurship, and evaluation of economic development initiatives. Austrian received her PhD in economics from Case Western Reserve University. Chieh-Chen Bowen is associate professor of psychology and director, Consumer and Industrial Research Program, College of Sciences and Health Professions , at Cleveland State University. Her work focuses on applying psychological principles in the workplace to improve organizational efficiency and employees’ wellbeing. Bowen is an industrial and organizational psychologist with a PhD from Penn State University. William M. Bowen is a native of Cleveland and attended the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, the College of Charleston, and the University of South Carolina, and Indiana University. He has published four books and nearly 50 peer-reviewed articles in a wide range of fields including public policy and administration, geography, psychology, regional science, operations research, demography, expert systems, economic development, and urban studies.
