She was government project officer (GPO) for the COSP Multisite Research Initiative (MRI). Bill Burns-Lynch, M.A., is the former clinical manager and the current director of training and program support at Mental Health Association of Southeastern Pennsylvania (MHASP). Jean Campbell, Ph.D., was principal investigator for the Coordinating Center for the Consumer-Operated Services Program (COSP) Multisite Research Initiative. A mental health consumer researcher, she is director of the Program in Consumer Studies and Training at the Missouri Institute of Mental Health, University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine. Sally Clay, editor of this book, experienced severe episodes of bipolar disorder for 20 years. She founded and worked for several peer-run programs and in the process learned to maintain personal well-being. She was a member of both the COSP Common Ingredients Subcommittee and the Consumer Advisory Panel. Janine M. Elkanich was program director of the Portland Coalition for six years. She has an Associate’s degrees in medical assistance and accounting and is a single mother. She battled severe depression, anxiety, and anorexia nervosa for nearly ten years but has been in recovery since 1996. Nancy Erwin, Ph.D., was principal investigator for the Florida site, 2002–04.
