Wood, Concrete, Stone, and Steel: Minnesota’s Historic Bridges

Gardner details the development of engineering and construction innovations (complete with a guide to trusses) and traces the fascinating politics and personalities behind the task of creating and maintaining safe, and often beautiful, crossings.
