I am a Korean American graduate student in the WU sociology department. I am interested in conducting a study on the growth of Korean American and other Asian American campus evangelical organizations on college campuses. In particular, I am interested in collecting general descriptive information on Korean American and other Asian American campus evangelical organizations, finding out the organizations’ major concerns and themes, and exploring some of the reasons behind the growth of Korean American and other Asian American campus evangelical organizations. Because ___ is one of the largest Korean American (or Asian American ) campus evangelical organizations on the WU campus and has chapters on several other college campuses, ___ was selected for study. If I can get your permission to conduct participant observation and interviews in your organization, I would like to participate in your worship services and Bible studies and conduct personal interviews with the college student members and staff of your organization. My study will be conducted for three academic quarters—starting from the Fall 2000 quarter and ending in the Spring 2001 quarter. I would like to interview about ten members from your organization for about 30 minutes to an hour and a half.
