About th e Autho r Barbara Flagg is a Professor of Law at Washington University School of Law in St. Louis. She received her J.D. degree fro m Boalt Hal l Schoo l o f La w a t th e Universit y o f California , Berkeley, in 1987, and her bachelor's degree from the University of California, Riverside , in 1967. She spent the intervening year s followin g a wanderin g vocationa l pat h tha t in cluded th e Peac e Corps , photographi c printing , bicycl e repair, philosophy, and stereo sales and repair.
