299 About the Author Dana Evan Kaplan is the Oppenstein Brothers Assistant Professor of Judaic and Religious Studies in the Department of History at the University of Missouri-Kansas City and is a Research Fellow at the Miller Center for Contemporary Judaic Studies and the Institute for Cuban and Cuban-American Studies at the University of Miami. He has led Reform congregations in Australia, Israel, and South Africa and is now Rabbi of Congregation B’nai Israel in Albany, Georgia.
