298 A PPENDIX II The Capitula of Hilary’s In Matthaeum1 Unlike Coustant’s edition (1693) in PL 9, which presents the chapter headings in the text, Doignon has separated them based on the likely conclusion that the headings were added by a later hand since one of the oldest groups of manuscripts does not include them. It is also apparent that the descriptions of most of the capitula do not match the content in Hilary’s chapter. I.
