183 ABOUT THE AUTHORS Helen Taylor Greene is an associate professor and graduate program co-director in the Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. She completed her Ph.D. at the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice, the University of Maryland, College Park. Her research interests include black perspectives on crime and justice, policing, and delinquency. Shaun L. Gabbidon is an assistant professor of criminal justice in the School of Public Affairs at Pennsylvania State University, Capital College. He is a graduate of the Ph.D. program in criminology at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He has also served as a Fellow at Harvard University’s W. E. B.
