He holds master’s degrees in journalism from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and in linguistics from the University of Strasbourg in France. He served as president of the Wisconsin Capitol Correspondents Association from late 2010 to early 2012 and is also a past board president of the UW–Madison student paper the Daily Cardinal. He has received awards from the American Society of News Editors and the Society of American Business Editors and Writers. Patrick Marley has covered the Wisconsin Capitol for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel since 2004. Before that, Marley covered local government for the Kenosha News. His work has been recognized by the Wisconsin Freedom of Information Council and the Wisconsin Newspaper Association. He holds a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Iowa and a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. ...
