Selected Bibliography The following selected bibliography lists publications on the history of the American motion picture industry, its trade practices, and its leaders. A more comprehensive listing of the literature may be found in Industrial Arts Index, vols. 1-45, 1913-57; Business Periodicals Index, vols. 1-, 1958-; International Index to Film Periodicals (New York: FIAF, 1972-), Film: A Reference Guide, ed. Robert A. Armour (Westport, Conn: Greenwood Press, 1980); The New Film Index: A Bibliography ofMagazine Articles in English, 1930-1970, ed. Richard Dyer MacCann and Edward S. Perry (New York: E. P.
