About the Editor and the Contributors Paul Appleby was secretary of Oxford Vegetarians from 1983 to 2008 and has also served as a trustee of both the Vegetarian Society and the Vegan Society in the United Kingdom. Phil Arkow is cofounder of the National Link Coalition and chairs the Latham Foundation’s Animal Abuse and Family Violence Prevention Project.
