Abstract:
This study elucidates the power of the story and the role of storying as web, philosophy, and ultimately the role of readers and storytellers. Examining the grammar of colonialism, with references to language translation and continuity in storytelling, this article applies a Yaqui/Yoeme epistemic framework and the word story “Yoeme” to read Leslie Marmon Silko’s Almanac of the Dead.
