An Offering to the Mother Goddess Danu

Twenty-six-year-old Margot steps out of her mother's funeral into the Okanagan winter air for a cigarette to get away from her fiancé and family. This gives her time to reflect on the disintegration of her family and on her relationship with her cousin Samantha, who may be coming to the funeral as well and for whom Margot holds unconventional feelings.
