In Memoriam

We are saddened to report that the JARS family lost two of its members in 2017. These two individuals offered us their talents and friendship from the very beginning of this journal in 1999: Murray Franck (1946–2017), who provided us with indispensable legal guidance in the formation of JARS and contributed an article to our Fall 2000 issue; and Michael E. Southern (1958–2017), who conceived, maintained, and recently revamped our website, and who contributed a deeply personal essay to our 2016 symposium, "Nathaniel Branden: His Work and Legacy."

The Journal of Ayn Rand Studies dedicates this issue to their memory.
