Canadian musical theatre writer Leslie Arden was interviewed by Sean McCabe on 19 December 2016 at the Green Beanery in Toronto, Ontario. Leslie shared her perspective on the state of Canadian musical theatre, on what the community is missing at the development stage, and on the sense of progress at large, especially in light of the recent success of Canadian musicals, namely "Come From Away." Leslie and Sean also discuss the creative process, the importance of getting work off of the page and in front of an audience, and trends in musical theatre, both in Canada and beyond.
