This paper explores the dynamics of trauma experienced by black women survivors of sexual violence who are ethically obligated to create safe space for black girls experiencing sexual abuse. An examination of contestable issues in black women's literature with theologies of sexuality that reinforce an embodied sense of self is presented. Pastoral care response that seeks to facilitate the process of healing and wholeness for bodily integrity is considered.
