We congratulate the following authors for their prize-winning articles published in MELUS:

Rafael Walker, winner of the 2016 Crompton-Noll Award for his article, "Nella Larsen Reconsidered: The Trouble with Desire in Quicksand and Passing," in volume 41, number 1 (2016). The Crompton Noll-Award is given annually by the GL/Q Caucus of the Modern Language Association for the best article in LGBTQ studies.

Lori Harrison-Kahan and Karen E. H. Skinazi, winners of the 2016 Don D. Walker prize for their article, "Miriam Michelson's Yellow Journalism and the MultiEthnic West," in volume 40, number 2 (2015). The Don D. Walker Prize is sponsored by the Western Literature Association and is given annually to the best essay published in Western American literary studies during the previous calendar year.

Jaime Javier Rodríguez, who received Honorable Mention in the 2016 Don D. Walker prize competition for "El 'Adios Tejas' in El Corrido Pensilvanio: Migration, Place, and Politics in South Texas" in volume 40, number 1 (2015).
