Watch over me, god of gravity, when I dreamyour dream that holds us down.
The ground has sharp teeth and a taste for skin.I desire dialogue with the dirt.
One sun-snipped day, I will fall under your swayand be swept beneath the welcome mat.
Oh god, you invented stairs to encourage us to believewe could control our destiny.
On the hundredth floor, out of breath, the window promisesa view unmatched in your kingdom.
Heart-pumper, air-giver, author of all we give weight to,you must learn to let us go. [End Page 11]
