304 ANNOUI\ICH1ENTS/ ANNONCES To the friends of E[)ITH MARY WIGHTMAN McMaster University has established a memorial fund in commemoration of their fellow member of the university community. The fund will be used to complete her work in progress at the time of her death on 17 December 1983. This includes two volumes, both multi-specialist efforts under her direction, Excavations at Roman Carthage, and Uri Valley Survey, 1977-81. Dr. John W. Hayes has kindly consented to act as director of both volumes. Donations to the memorial fund will be gratefully accepted in Canadian, British or USA monies, and receipts will be issued. "profite de la collaboration et du soutien de I'UNESCO, du Conseil de recherches en sciences humaines du Canada, de I' Association canadienne-franc;:aise pour Ilavancement des sciences, du Fonds Formation des chercheurs-action concertee, des ministeres des Affaires intergouvernementales et des Affaires culturelles du Quebec. Patronnee par II UNESCO, la campagne internationale pour la Sallvegarde de Carthage a suscite des recherches d'une exceptionnelle ampleur et a renouvele notre connaissance de I'histoire du site. Depuis plus de dix ans, de nombreuses equipes nationales participent a ce projet dlenvergure. L'equipe archeologique trifluvienne veut apporter sa contribution a la promotion scientifique et culturelle du projet en organisant aux Trois-Rivieres un congres international ou pourront etre con frontes devant les communautes americaine, canadienne et quebecoise les resultats obtenus par chacun.
