CONTRIBUTORS JULES AARON teaches Theatre at the University of California, Riverside, and is a frequent contributor to the EducationalTheatre Journal. THEODOR ADORNO was a German social philospher, musicologist, and essayist. Among his most important books are Negative Dialectic and Aesthetic Theory. HOWARD BRENTON is a British playwright who has written some thirty plays since 1965. VALERII BRIUSOV was a Russian poet, playwright, and translator who headed Meyerhold's Literary Bureau at the Theatre Studio. DANIEL C. GEROULD is a critic, translator, and playwright. He recently edited Twentieth-Century Polish Avant-Garde Drama. MALCOLM HAY and PHILIP ROBERTS recently edited Edward Bond: A Companion to the Plays and collaborated on The Theatre of Edward Bond. VIOLET KETELS is on the Faculty of the English Department at Temple University. She is Chairperson of the Playwriting Awards, Region 12, American College Theatre Festival. ALMA H. LAW writes and lectures on the Russian theatre. She is currently a visiting Scholar at the Russian Institute, Columbia University. ROGER OLIVER is Assistant Professor of English and Dramatic Literature at New York University. BARI ROLFE teaches and performs mime. She is the author of Behind the Mask. DAVID VAUGHAN is co-editor of the Encyclopedia of Dance and Ballet, Associate Editor of Ballet Review, and has written numerous books on dance, Performing Arts Journal is listed in The American Humanities Index, a QuarterlyIndex to Scholarly, Critical, and CreatireJournals.
