  • Corrigendum

In JSYS 44, page 350, footnote 86, Yuan Chen wrote that "Morris Rossabi believes that the preference for white 'must have been a purely Mongol custom, as white is considered the color of mourning in Chinese tradition,'" citing The Travels of Marco Polo: The Illustrated Edition, edited by Morris Rossabi; Chen went on to write that "This, however, was a misunderstanding, as white was not the traditional color for morning in Chinese tradition." The earlier quote should have been attrributed to Henry Yule and Henri Cordier's original translation of Marco Polo, the source for all the footnotes in The Illustrated Edition. [End Page 433]
