The Inconsistency of Sunlight is about Elisabeth, who has given up custody of her young daughter. Elisabeth becomes preoccupied with a neighbor, a single mother who might be neglecting her own daughter. As the neighbor’s child demands more of Elisabeth’s time and focus, she must decide whether she will continue to take responsibility or report the mother to Social Services.
