ANNOUNCEMENT Brian J. Shanley, O.P., Editor of The Thomist since 2002, became President of Providence College on July 1, 2005. Because of these new responsibilities, Fr. Shanley has stepped down as Editor. We are pleased to announce that he will remain on the editorial board as an Associate Editor. In addition, Fr. Lawrence Donohoo, O.P., has been named an Associate Editor. The new Editor is Joseph Torchia, O.P., Associate Professor of Philosophy at Providence College. Father Torchia holds doctorates in Philosophy (Fordham University) and Early Christian Studies (The Catholic University of America), and an S.T.L. from the Dominican House of Studies in Washington. ...
