John Thomas York

John Thomas York grew up on a farm in northwestern North Carolina and now lives in Greensboro. His poetry has recently appeared in Appalachian Journal, Kenyon Review Online, North Carolina Literary Review, Tar River Poetry, and Town Creek Poetry. In 2012, Press 53 published his first full-length collection, Cold Spring Rising. For over thirty-seven years, he taught English in North Carolina’s public schools, until his retirement in 2016.
