Promotion of and respect for human dignity and religious pluralism are in the best interests of states to ensure stability and economic prosperity. Models of multistakeholder collaboration between the state and civil society to preserve these freedoms also stand as examples of tools that preserve stability and prosperity. This can be witnessed in the successes and failures of states in promoting or rejecting these values.
