ABSTRACT:
Though often disparaged as a self-indulgent study of fame, Zuckerman Unbound is more fully, if less obviously, concerned with race. Reading the novel alongside several Irish texts, to which it surreptitiously alludes, accentuates Roth’s censure of post-1960s white ethnic hubris.
