ASMUND HAVSTEEN-MIKKELSEN (b. 1977, Aeroe, Denmark) is a painter who lives in Copenhagen. Between 2007 and 2015 he lived in Berlin. He received his MA from The Royal Danish Art Academy of Copenhagen in 2009. From 2004 to 2005 he participated in the CCA Research Program in Kitakyushu, Japan, and from 2007 to 2008 he studied at the JFBK in Hamburg. Before enrolling at the art academy, he studied literature and philosophy at the University of Copenhagen (1996–2003). In 2014, he published Generic Singularity, a Mock Book Publishing.
