Chen-Pang Yeang is an Associate Professor in the Institute for the History and Philosophy of Science and Technology, University of Toronto. He has published on the history of modern physics and engineering science. He is writing a book on the history of noise.
Roland Wittje has been lecturer at the History of Science Unit of the University of Regensburg, Germany, and will join the Indian Institute of Technology in Chennai as Associate Professor in 2015. He is vice-president of the European academic heritage network Universeum and has published on the history of acoustics, nuclear physics, science education, and scientific heritage at universities.
Martin Niss is Associate Professor in physics at the science department of Roskilde University, Denmark. He holds a Ph.D. degree from the same university. His work in the history of physics focuses on the use and role of models in twentieth century physics, in particular in the areas of condensed matter and statistical physics.
Shawn Michael Bullock is an Assistant Professor of science education at Simon Fraser University in British Columbia, Canada. He is particularly interested in the intersections between the history of physics, the history of technology, and physics education. Current projects include an investigation of Sir Oliver Lodge’s role as a public educationist, the changing conception of privacy in the history of communication technologies, and the development of continuing education programs for the professional development of Canadian engineers during the early Cold War. Aaron Sidney Wright was educated at McGill University and the University of Toronto. He publishes on the history of nineteenth and twentieth century physical science. He is currently Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of the History of Science at Harvard University. [End Page 143]
