Commercial surrogacy in India has become a practice that seems to cut across all geographic boundaries. India receives a fair share of clients from other countries, including foreigners, Non Resident Indians and Persons of Indian Origin With no law in force in India to deal with commercial surrogacy and surrogate mothers being easily available, the practice is thriving in an unfettered manner. The study helps bring to light the everyday issues that surrogate mothers face with respect to informed consent and autonomy.
