This article attempts to trace the influence of the Romantic poets Wordsworth and Shelley and of art on Alfred North Whitehead’s philosophy of organism. This influence consists of an imaginative structure as to Whitehead’s understanding of nature and of content as to the aesthetic values of beauty, truth, and the good.
