This article, following from the author’s article in volume 41, issue 2, of the Oral History Review, argues that oral history does not have to end with archival deposit of the interview, that put to use, interviews can be of value in our contemporary social life. It focuses on ethical and related issues involved in one particular form of moving interviews into the public sphere—publication.
