From the Editor

This issue I would like to extend a warm welcome to Dr Stacey Hynd, who will be taking over from Professor Adele Perry as the journal’s book reviews editor. Stacey is Senior Lecturer in History at the University of Exeter, where her research focuses on the history of law, violence and punishment in Africa, as well as African gender histories, child soldiers, and human rights and humanitarian discourses. Stacey replaces Professor Adele Perry, who has served as the journal’s reviews editor since Winter 2011 (volume 12, issue 3). I would like to thank Adele for her great work these past years, and especially the development of our popular review essays section. Goodbye Adele, and welcome Stacey!
