Abstract

This forum provides three responses to Rosenwald’s (2014) article on changes in the ability of students to read complex material as a result of excessive online screen time. The contributors to the column are faculty (Dahle Buelow) and students (Hansen and Hoffman) from the Adler Graduate School in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The first response offers an introduction to the topic and a balanced perspective, the second offers a reflection on personal growth and choice making, and the third offers a view of time past, the power of creativity, and choice. All three responses embrace the notion of family connectedness as the foundation for building social interest.
