Abstract

The two books under review, Paul Armstrong’s How Literature Plays with the Brain and David Herman’s Storytelling and the Sciences of the Mind, provide an opportunity to assess the claims and significance of cognitive literary studies some fifteen years after its emergence as an identifiable interdisciplinary field.
