Abstract

This paper chronicles the way in which graffiti is being used as a tool to raise awareness about the plight of the abandoned 1963 Miami Marine Stadium and funds for the building’s restoration and rehabilitation. It also demonstrates how the street art movement is using its association with the stadium as a means of building academic credibility and cultural acceptance for itself.
