Ricardo Apostol is Assistant Professor of Classics at Case Western Reserve University. He is working on a monograph about ancient genre and its articulation in the work of Vergil. His current research interests include classical reception, especially in film; ecocriticism; and the problem of modernity’s construction of its own classical past.
Francesca Middleton is Lecturer in Classics at the University of Cambridge, where she is also Fellow and Director of Studies in Classics at Murray Edwards College. She has recently completed a dissertation on how, why, and with what effect the Homeric epics were used to create new literature in later antiquity. Her work centers on Homer’s function within literary culture and the impact of material text on theoretical models of literature.
Peter Miller is Visiting Assistant Professor of Classics at Texas Tech University. His current research interests range from Greek and Roman sexuality to epinician poetry and the reception of ancient athletics in modern sports. He has forthcoming publications on athletic epigrams and women in ancient sport, as well as a monograph in preparation examining the social identity of the ancient athlete in light of contemporary literary and critical theory.
Meredith Prince is Associate Professor of Classics at Auburn University. She is the author of articles on Medea in love elegy and in Horace, and on pietas and family relations in Ovid’s Metamorphoses.
